Hawks capture GLVC West Division title

Morgan Rietzke led the Hawks with 15 kills and nine digs.

Box Score Rockhurst captured the GLVC West Division championship by sweeping William Jewell 3-0 Tuesday night in Liberty, Mo. The 23rd-ranked Hawks improved their conference record to 14-2 with 25-22, 25-16 and 25-13 set wins over the Cardinals.

Morgan Rietzke led the Hawks with 15 kills, a .455 hitting percentage and nine digs. Mary Rolf posted 10 kills with a .833 hitting percentage and four blocks. Alyssa Woodman posted eight kills and eight digs.

Anne Hellwege had a team-high 16 digs for the Hawks. Kalie Arnold added eight digs. Grace Carter and Lily Thornberg tallied 27 and 16 assists.

The Hawks (24-5 overall) close out the regular season at home against Quincy (Friday) and Truman State (Saturday).
