Jackson overtime goal gives No. 1 Hawks a 2-1 win at USI

Kaleb Jackson scored his eighth goal and fifth game-winning goal of the season.

Box Score Kaleb Jackson scored his team-high eighth goal of the season to give top-ranked Rockhurst a 2-1 victory in overtime over 19th-ranked Southern Indiana Sunday in Evansville, Indiana.

Jackson's header from 16 yards out in the 93rd minute came off a long cross from Ben McDonald. It was Jackson's fifth game-winning goal of the season as the Hawks improve to 11-0-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Brian O'Neal scored his first goal of the season to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. O'Neal put in a rebound shot off the crossbar from six yards out in the 32nd minute. Southern Indiana tied the game with a goal in the 65th minute.

The Hawks finished with eight shots and four shots on goal. Jackson led Rockhurst with three shots. Logan Feldmann posted two saves.

Rockhurst returns home to host McKendree on Friday, October 14.
