Top-ranked Hawks blank Truman to remain unbeaten

Box Score The No. 1-ranked Rockhurst Hawks blanked Truman State 2-0 to post their sixth consecutive shutout Sunday at Bourke Field. The first-place Hawks improve to 7-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and 9-0-1 overall.

Andrew Patke gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a header from seven yards out with six seconds left in the first half. Evan Craig assisted on Patke's goal. Mitch Moncada scored his third goal of the season with a nine-yard header in the 58th minute with assists from Matt Collier and Kaleb Jackson.

Junior goalkeeper Logan Feldmann stopped two shots in posting his seventh shutout of the season and has not allowed a goal for over 580 minutes.

The Hawks finished with 21 shots and 10 shots on goal. Moncada led the Hawks with five shots and two shots on goal. Patke added three shots and two shots on goal.

Rockhurst will play at Bellarmine on Friday, October 7.
