Box Score Haleigh Cindrich posted her first career double-double to lead Rockhurst to a 77-63 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Cindrich scored seven of her career-high 11 points in the second quarter to give the Hawks a 43-29 halftime lead. She grabbed seven of her career-high 11 rebounds in the second half as the Hawks jumped out to a 21-point lead, 66-45, in the fourth quarter.
Mary Dineen scored a team-high 12 points for the the Hawks. Dineen connected on six-of-nine field goals, including five-of-six from behind the 3-point line. Lauren Meyers posted 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Jillian Myers tallied five points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. Brittany Meyer added 10 points off the bench.
Rockhurst shot 36.8 percent from the field (21 of 57) and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line (26 of 37). Oklahoma Panhandle made 17-of-48 field goals (35.4 percent) and 27-of-41 free throws (65.9 percent). Tatyana Bell paced the Aggies with 19 points and four steals.
The Hawks, 7-2 overall, return to conference action at home against Southern Indiana on Thursday, January 7.
