Kaleb Jackson scored his first goal of the season in overtime to give Rockhurst a 2-1 victory over McKendree Sunday in Lebanon, Ill.
The victory leaves the 22nd-ranked Hawks tied for first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 4-0 record.
Jackson's game-winning shot came from 12 yards out off a pass from
Claudio Romano with 4:33 left in the first overtime period. Sophomore goalkeeper
Logan Feldmann also assisted on the goal.
Junior defender
Paul Dean tied the score at 1-1 on a header from 12 yards out off a free kick from
Gianluca Bottoni in the 62nd minute. McKendree scored on a penalty kick in the 20th minute.
Rockhurst outshot McKendree, 29-3. Bottoni led the Hawks with eight shots and four shots on goal.
Adam Michel added five shots and two shots on goal. Feldmann collected two saves.
Rockhurst, 4-0-1, will return home to host Southern Indiana Friday night.
