Hawks win conference opener over USI, 3-0

Box Score Rockhurst posted a .421 hitting percentage in rolling to a 3-0 conference-opening win over Southern Indiana Friday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The 13th-ranked Hawks (9-1) held the Screaming Eagles to 11 points in the first game, held on for a three-point win in the second game and breezed to a 25-13 win the third game.

Morgan Rietzke led the Hawks with 11 kills and six digs. Preecy Seever collected 10 kills and four blocks with only one hitting error. Katie Loescher totaled 10 kills and three blocks. Alyssa Arnold added nine kills and nine digs.

Anne Hellwege led the Hawks with 16 digs. Whitney Kostal posted 41 assists, four kills and four digs.
