Box Score Rockhurst shut out Maryville, 2-0, Friday night to take over sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The 22nd-ranked Hawks scored in the first minute and 72nd minute to move their conference record to 7-1-1.
Kaleb Jackson scored his third goal less than one minute in to the game with an assist from
Mitch Moncada.
Luke Moore headed in a shot off a cross from
Evan Craig to give the Hawks a two-goal lead.
Rockhurst outshot Maryville, 11-9.
Adam Michel posted a team-high three shots.
Jake Peters and
Connor Mullen each finished with two shots. Sophomore goalkeeper
Logan Feldmann made three saves.
The Hawks, 7-1-2 overall, host Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday.
