Box Score Eighth-ranked Rockhurst rallied for a fifth-set win to pull out a 3-2 victory over No. 21 Lewis Friday night in Romeoville, Ill.
The Hawks scored 10 of the last 14 points to win the fifth set, 16-14. Rockhurst closed out the match with a kill from
Preecy Seever and a Lewis attack error.
Rockhurst, 24-2 overall, remain undefeated in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 12-0 league record. The Hawks play at Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday.
The Hawks won the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-17. Lewis came back to win the next two sets, 25-20 and 25-23.
Seever led the Hawks with 13 kills and four blocks while hitting .393.
Morgan Rietzke collected 12 kills and 13 digs.
Alyssa Arnold finished with 10 kills and a team-high 20 digs.
Mattie Gray also posted 10 kills.
Katie Loescher added eight kills and four blocks.
Whitney Kostal collected 40 assists, 17 digs and three blocks.
