Hawks sweep Quincy; move closer to NCAA record

Whitney Kostal posted 36 assists, five digs and three blocks.

Box Score Rockhurst swept Quincy to post its 14th consecutive win by a 3-0 score (25-15, 25-8, 25-8) Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks have now won 42 consecutive sets, 13 shy of the NCAA Division II record set by Barry in 2003.

Preecy Seever led the Hawks with 10 kills, five blocks and 13 points. Mattie Gray collected nine kills and nine points. Alyssa Arnold added eight kills and a team-high 15 digs.

Whitney Kostal chipped in with 36 assists, five digs and three blocks. Katie Loescher posted seven kills. Morgan Rietzke tallied six kills and nine digs. Anne Hellwege added 14 digs.

The Hawks (15-1, 6-0 GLVC) play at William Jewell Tuesday night.
