Box Score Mitch Moncada scored early in overtime to give 14th-ranked Rockhurst a 3-2 victory over Indianapolis Friday night at Bourke Field. Moncada's second goal of the season came on a 12-yard shot into the back left corner of the net in the 92nd minute.
The Hawks now enjoy a two-game lead in the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings with a 9-1-1 league record.
Rockhurst took a 2-0 lead at halftime behind goals from
Chi Ngwefang and
Adam Michel. Ngwefang scored on a 20-yard shot in the 32nd minute. Michel came back nine minutes later to score on a shot from 18 yards out. Indy tied the score with a pair of second-half goals.
Rockhurst outshot the Greyhounds, 15-10.
Adam Michel posted a team-high four shots.
Kaleb Jackson finished with three shots. Ngwefang and
Connor Mullen each added two shots.
The Hawks, 9-1-2 overall, host Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
