Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Preecy Seever posted 24 kills and a .571 hitting percentage to rally Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory over Missouri Western on the first day of the Rockhurst Volleyball Classic Friday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. After dropping the first set by a 25-22 score, the Hawks combined to win the next three sets 75-48. Rockhurst won the fourth and deciding set, 25-12.

Morgan Rietzke collected a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs. Alyssa Arnold added 11 kills and six digs. Lauren Poulicek and Anne Hellwege both finished with 13 digs. Whitney Kostal totaled 47 assists and eight digs.

The Hawks won their opening match in the RU Classic over Pittsburg State, 3-0, behind the hitting of Seever and Katie Loescher. Seever had 12 kills with a .500 hitting percentage. Loescher led the team with 13 kills and a .550 hitting percentage. Poulicek posted a team-high 16 digs and Kostal had 38 assists.

The Hawks, 2-0, face Northwest Missouri State and Findlay on Saturday in the RU Classic.
