Box Score The Rockhurst men opened conference play with a 2-0 victory over Saint Joseph's Friday night in Rensselaer, Ind. The win evened the Hawks' overall record to 1-1.

Sophomore forward Michael Panarisi gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 14th minute. Panarisi found the upper right of the net off a pass from Chi Ngwefang. Junior defender Nick Caruso scored the second goal in the 75th minute on a header off a free kick from Evan Craig.

The Hawks outshot Saint Joseph's 16-4. Freshman forward Claudio Romano led the team with four shots. Panarisi added three shots. Senior goalkeeper Stefano Radio posted two saves to pick up his first collegiate win.

Rockhurst next plays at GLVC preseason favorite Indianapolis on Sunday.
