Box Score Preecy Seever and Emily Ready combined for 29 kills and 10 blocks to power Rockhurst to a 3-2 victory over Indianapolis in the first round of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Thursday in Allendale, Mich.

Rockhurst (27-4) will play now face top-seeded Truman State (29-3) in the regional semifinals at 5:00 p.m. EST Friday.

The Hawks closed out their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2005 on a 4-1 run to capture the fifth set, 15-12, over Indy. Rockhurst won the first two sets, 25-13 and 27-25. Indy evened the match at 2-2 with 25-16 and 25-21 wins.

Seever led the Hawks with 15 kills and five blocks. Ready posted 14 kills and five blocks. Alyssa Arnold tallied 12 kills and 26 digs. Anne Hellwege also posted 16 digs. Morgan Rietzke added 11 kills and 13 digs. Whitney Kostal finished with 49 assists and nine digs.
