Seever powers Hawks to 3-2 win at McKendree

Preecy Seever (7) and Maggie Hummel (15) powered the Hawks to a 3-2 win at McKendree.

Box Score Preecy Seever posted 21 kills and seven blocks to power Rockhurst to a 3-2 victory over McKendree Saturday night in Lebanon, Ill.

Seever led the Hawks with five kills in a 15-12 win in the fifth set. Rockhurst won the first two sets (25-23 and 25-13) and then dropped the next two sets (25-17 and 25-21).

Morgan Rietzke tallied 12 kills, 15 digs and five blocks. Alyssa Arnold collected 10 kills and 19 digs. Emily Ready added 10 kills and four blocks. Anne Hellwege and Lauren Poulicek combined for 28 digs. Whitney Kostal finished with 58 assists and 10 digs.

Rockhurst (22-3, 13-2 GLVC) will play at Illinois Springfield on Sunday.
