Box Score The 20th-ranked Rockhurst men's soccer team jumped out to an early lead on the way to a 2-0 victory over Southern Indiana Friday night at RU's Bourke Field.

Senior defender Jon Schreiber headed in a rebound shot from near the net to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute. Schreieber's goal was set up by a header by George Skevington, which hit the right post. Lucas De Rossi's corner kick led to the early score. Mark Magee tallied his fifth goal of the season in the 62nd minute for the Hawks' second goal. Magee hit a shot 14 yards out off a pass from freshman Paul Dean.

Rockhurst outshot Southern Indiana 13-7. Magee led the Hawks with four shots. De Rossi added two shots. Senior keeper Ryan Bass made one save. The Hawks, 5-1-1 and 4-0-1, host Illinois Springfield at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.
