Late goal gives Hawks 2-1 win at McKendree

Freshman Michael Panarisi scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute.
Box Score Freshman Michael Panarisi scored his first collegiate goal with 1:41 left in regulation to give the 10th-ranked Rockhurst men's soccer team a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over McKendree Sunday in Lebanon, Ill.

Panarisi knocked in a shot from 12 yards out for the game-winning goal. Mark Magee and Austin Tierney assisted on the goal. Magee tied the score at 1-1 in the 72nd minute. Magee's fourth goal of the season came on a free kick from 25 yards out.

Rockhurst outshot McKendree 21-6. Magee led the Hawks with six shots. Freshman Chi Ngwefang added five shots. Nick McDonald and Lucas De Rossi each had two shots. Senior keeper Ryan Bass made three saves.

The Hawks, 4-1-1 and 3-0-1, return home to host Southern Indiana at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.
