Allison is in her first year on the Rockhurst coaching staff. She played college volleyball at Washburn University from 2017-21. She was the fifth Washburn player in program history to be named to the AVCA All-American First Team and was named a CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team selection. Allison finished the 2021 season fifth in the nation hitting .413, the highest single season attacking percentage ever for Washburn. She became the fifth Washburn player to surpass 1,000 career kills and 400 career blocks. She earned a place on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and received MIAA Scholar Athlete honors.
