Troy McKerrell

Troy is in his second year as the goalkeeper coach for the Hawks. He is also serves as an assistant coach with FCKC, a professional women's team in Kansas City. He was formerly the director of coaching and player development with SDB Academy, and served as an the assistant coach William Penn University in Iowa.
 
Troy coached with Club World Sports in Glasgow, Scotland, working with professional players and players who were out of contract looking to sharpen their skills and secure new professional contracts. He also worked with the Patrick Thistle F.C, Thistle Weir Youth Academy in Glasgow as a professional youth coach for the U14 Academy and assisted with the U18's.
 
A alumni of the 30under30 program with the United Soccer Coaches, Troy was selected into the 30under 30 program as one of the top 15 male coaches in America. He received a scholarship to further his coaching development through the United Soccer Coaches and attended the 2017 United Soccer Coaches convention where he was recognized for his achievements.


Troy played professional soccer with the following teams: Greenock Mountain FC in the Scottish Football League 1st Division, Kilmarnock FC in the Scottish Premier League Professional Youth, Heidelberg United FC in Melbourne, Australia, Des Moines Menace in the PDL, Midland/Odessa in the PDL, and St. Luis Lions in the PDL.

Troy played collegiately at Benedictine College, helping lead the Ravens to the HAAC Conference and Tournament titles, and a spot in the national tournament. He was named to the All-Conference team in the HAAC.
