Giorgio Antongirolami has served a key role on the Rockhurst coaching staff since 2000. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Antongirolami played soccer for Lazio's and later became involved as a coach with the Lazio's youth program. He was selected to the U16 and U17 Lazio's regional teams.
He played in 23 games in two years at Rockhurst in 1998-99, despite suffering two torn ACLs. He played professionally for the Cincinnati Riverhawks during the 2002 A-League season, and played in 240 semi-pro games in Italy.
Antongirolami received his undergraduate and master's degrees in business from Rockhurst University. He served as a graduate assistant coach at Rockhurst from 2000-01, and has been an assistant coach since 2002. Antongirolami has helped lead the Hawks to a 264-124-54 record while winning six GLVC regular season titles and seven GLVC Tournament titles. Rockhurst has appeared in 10 NCAA Tournaments since 2002 and advanced to the Division II national semifinals in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The Rockhurst staff was named the NSCAA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 2016 and 2017.
Antongirolami and his wife Josie live in Kansas City, Missouri. They have a son, Luca, and daughter, Antonella.
