Patrick Surmeier is entering his third year as an assistant on Drew Diener's staff after spending 10 years at Rockhurst under Bill O'Connor, the programs winningest coach. During that time Surmeier helped guide Rockhurst to two NCAA Division II tournaments.
Prior to Rockhurst, Surmeier was the head coach at Highland Community College we he guided his teams to consecutive winning records and Region IV semi final games, a first in program history as a member of the NJCAA Jayhawk Conference.
Currently, Surmeier's duties include recruiting, scouting, on floor duties, travel, and preseason-postseason workouts.
