Matt Hutchinson started with the administration in 2016. His main responsibilities are revenue generation, sponsorship, fundraising, marketing, and strategy. Matt joined Rockhurst Athletics after working at the NAIA National Office, where he mainly focused on development and programming.
He also enters his third year on Drew Diener's staff. He has spent the last two years as a graduate assistant.
Hutchinson serves the men's basketball program in all facets, including on-floor duties, recruiting, scouting, travel, and budget. In addition, he currently coordinates Drew Diener Basketball Camps and Rockhurst University High School Leagues.
Along with current roles, Hutchinson consults with the NAIA National Office. He is entering his third year as the NAIA Teaming Up For Character Coordinator at the Men's Division I National Tournament.
Matt played at Rockhurst from 2012-2015 for Coach Bill O'Connor, obtaining an Exercise Science degree with an emphasis on Non-Profit Leadership. He is currently in the MBA program at the Helzberg school.
A native of Topeka, Kan., his sister Morgan is a member of the volleyball team.
