Garrett Borgrud is in his first year as a Graduate Assistant with the Rockhurst Men's Basketball program on Coach Drew Diener's staff.
Borgrud is from Deerfield, Wisconsin, and started his playing career at Madison College (2010-12), where he averaged 20 points and seven rebounds his sophomore season. During his time at Madison College, he was selected as an Honorable Mention All-American and nominated as the District Sports Person of the Year. He was also selected to the N4C All-Academic team.
Borgrud finished his playing career at Cardinal Stritch University (2013-15) playing under Coach Diener. He averaged 13.6 points per game and 4.1 rebounds. He ranked third in the nation with a field goal percentage of .659. He was selected to the All-Academic team both seasons and was named to the CCAC All-Conference second team his senior seaosn.
Garrett is the son of Mike and Tricia Borgrud. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Arts program at Rockhurst.
