Broderick Stewart is in his first season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Rockhurst. He spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. He has been instrumental in various aspects of the program such as recruiting, scouting, and player development. Stewart helped lead Southwestern College to the NAIA national tournament in 2023-24.
A native of Emporia, Kansas, Stewart graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Leadership and Recreation. He spent four years as a student assistant under three-time national champion head coach Craig Doty, where he contributed to all facets of the program. His efforts played a key role in leading Emporia State to a national tournament appearance.
