Rockhurst University Athletics

Mitch Nelson was named the Associate AD for Compliance and University Services in February 2025. He will assume that new position along with his duties as assistant baseball coach for the Hawks. Prior to joining the athletic department, Nelson spent 27 years in the Admission Department at Rockhurst. He started in the admission office in 1998 and most recently served as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. He graduated from Rockhurst University in 1997 after playing four seasons on the Hawks' baseball team. He has served as assistant baseball coach since 1998. Nelson and his wife, Amy, live in Kansas City, Missouri.
