Rockhurst senior defender Quinn Conroy has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Defensive Player of the Week in women's soccer, the league office announced Monday (Sept. 28).

Conroy helped lead the Hawks to a perfect 2-0 week in GLVC play, earning a 2-1 victory over Lincoln before closing the week with a 3-0 road win over Upper Iowa.

The St. Louis, Missouri, native played 148 total minutes across the two victories and helped anchor a Rockhurst defense that allowed just one goal on the week and three total shots. The Hawks finished the week with a shutout against Upper Iowa, holding the Peacocks scoreless in the 3-0 victory. Conroy also contributed on the offensive end against Upper Iowa, scoring her first goal of her college career to help the Hawks secure their second conference victory of the week.

The senior nursing major earns the first GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honor of her career. She is the second Rockhurst player to earn the conference's Defensive Player of the Week award this season, joining goalkeeper Sydney Schnarr, who received the honor just earlier this season.
