Conroy, Roark, Cates Lead Hawks to 3-0 Win

Goals by Quinn Conroy, Jenna Roark and Alexis Cates led Rockhurst to a 3-0 win over Upper Iowa on Saturday in Fayette, Iowa. The Hawks finished with 32 shots (15 on goal) while holding the Peacocks to just one shot.

Rockhurst finishes the week with an 8-1-1 overall record and improves to 6-1 in the conference, remaining in first place.

Conroy's goal during the 30th minute was her first of the season and her first as a Hawk.

Roark collected her sixth goal of the season in the 54th minute from Caitlyn Smith. Cates recorded her second goal of the season in the 67th minute from Jazmin Martinez Rangel. 

Cates (three on goal), Smith (one on goal) and Jacie Tottleben each took four shots. Bridget Herweck, Makayla Martinez and Conroy (two on goal) each tallied three shots. 

Madison Mertzlufft at goalie pitched her first shutout of the season.

The Hawks return home to face Maryville on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Bourke Field.
