Rockhurst Women's Volleyball dropped a pair of matches at the CSM Oredigger Classic on Saturday, falling to Flagler in five sets and CSM School of Mines in four sets.
Match 1: Flagler 3, RU 2
Rockhurst used a 21-10 run to pick up a 25-14 win in the first set. The Hawks trailed 9-3 in the second set before using a 13-3 run to take a 16-12 lead. RU went on to win 25-22.
Flagler won the final three sets (25-14, 25-20 and 15-11) to win the match.
Alyssa McDonald recorded 13 kills and four blocks.
Delaney Hope also had 13 kills and added six blocks and a .500 hitting percentage.
Ali Olson tallied 11 kills and six blocks.
Bailey Donnelly had a service ace, and
Kaitlyn Dumpit notched 20 assists.
Molly Trachta notched 26 assists and eight digs.
Abby Boyd logged 10 digs.
Rockhurst finished with 60 kills, 13 team blocks, 52 assists and 48 digs.Â
Match 2: CSM School of Mines 3, RU 1
The Orediggers took the first two sets, 25-22. Rockhurst won 25-22 in the third set before CSM School of Mines won the fourth set, 25-23.
McDonald recorded a team-leading 13 kills and tallied six digs. Olson had 11 kills and led RU with three blocks.Â
Chloe Tyrrell and
Carlie Pandjaris both had two service aces, as Pandjaris also notched three assists and 17 digs.Â
Trachta (27) and Dumpit (22) combined for 49 assists.
RU finished with 55 kills, seven service aces, four team blocks, 52 assists and 54 digs.

Rockhurst (1-3) travels to the Fairfield Inn Griffon Volleyball Classic from Sept. 4-5 in St. Joseph, Mo.
