Hawks rally for 1-1 tie at Nebraska Kearney

Rockhurst Women's Soccer began the 2026 season with a 1-1 tie against Nebraska Kearney on Friday afternoon in Kearney, Nebraska.

The Lopers opened the scoring with a goal in the 51st minute to take a 1-0 lead. RU's Julia Witt tied the match at 1-1 during the 64thminute. She hit a shot into the high center of the net from Caitlyn Smith.

Jenna Roark led the Hawks with four shots (two on goal), nearly scoring during the 87th minute to give RU the lead. Witt tallied three shots (two on goal), and Makayla Martinez took two shots (both on goal).

Overall, Rockhurst took 11 shots (seven on goal). Sydney Schnarr recorded seven saves.
