RU men are No. 2 seed in GLVC Tournament

The Rockhurst men's tennis team enter this weekend's GLVC Championship Tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana as the second seed in the West Division.

Rockhurst (10-6, 2-2 GLVC) will face McKendree (8-13, 2-2 GLVC) in a quarterfinal match at 10:30 am. at Center Grove High School.

The semifinals will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. and the finals are set for Sunday at 10 a.m., weather permitting.

The Hawks, who will be making their 13th appearance in the GLVC Tournament, won the GLVC Tournament Championships in 2009 and 2011.

Rockhurst is coming off a 5-2 victory over Quincy last weekend at the Plaza Tennis Center. The Hawks also posted a 4-2 win at Northeastern State on April 22.

Alexi Khamrotau, Ollie Dickason, Creed Skinner and Diego Schtulmann won their singles matches against Quincy. Khamrotau and Alex Tikhonov won in No. 1 doubles, while Josef Truhlar and Dickason were winners in No. 2 doubles.

Dickason, Skinner, Diego Schtulmann and Ben VanLandingham won their singles matches at Northeastern State. Dickason and Truhlar won in No. 2 doubles. Arnav Gannavaram and Skinner captured No. 3 doubles.
