Hawks drop series finale at Drury

The Rockhurst baseball team dropped the final game of the weekend series at Drury, 9-6, on Sunday in Springfield, Missouri.

Drury scored three runs in the sixth inning to take an 8-5 lead after Rockhurst rallied from a 5-2 deficit.

Dakota Hanna and Afton Koch combined for four hits and two RBI. Hanna singled home a run in the first and Koch collected a run-scoring single in the sixth.

Tyler Strongman hit a solo home run in the seventh. Kaden Jeffries had an RBI single in the fifth.

Trent Clemons (2-3) allowed three runs on four hits while striking out two in 2.1 innings.

The Hawks (28-16, 16-12 GLVC) close out the regular season at home against Drury beginning on Thursday night.
