Late goals lift Hawks to 14-12 win at home

Rockhurst scored the last three goals of the game to rally for a 14-12 victory over Westminster University Thursday night at Bourke Field.

Linus Toward tied the score at 12-all with 6:28 left in regulation. Lars Yarkosky scored the go-ahead goal with 4:13 remaining and Jonah McConnell added an insurance goal at the 1:06 mark.

Westminster jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first nine minutes. The Hawks went on a 9-2 run to take a 9-8 lead with 3:35 left in the first half.
  • Linus Toward led the Hawks with four goals and four ground balls.
  • McConnell posted two goals, one assist and two ground balls.
  • Yarkosky and Landon Toward each scored two goals.
  • Bradshaw tallied 15-of-28 faceoff wins and seven ground balls.
  • Brock Ollila posted 16 saves and five ground balls.
The Hawks (4-2) play at Davenport on Tuesday, March 10.
