Women collect pair of road wins

The Rockhurst women's tennis team collected a pair of road wins last weekend. The Hawks defeated Maryville, 6-1, in St. Louis on Saturday and posted a 4-0 win at Illinois Springfield on Sunday.

Ella Coleman won both of her No. 1 singles matches in straight sets. Coleman went 2-0 in No. 1 doubles with Camila Neyra at Maryville and No. 2 doubles with Sofia Valdespino at UIS. Coleman is ranked 26th in D2 singles.

Neyra and Maria Baez went 2-0 in singles and doubles. Valdespino and Zuzanna Szmyd won their singles matches at Maryville.

The Hawks (6-3) play Northeastern State on Wednesday at the Plaza Tennis Center.
