The Hawks finished the Space Coast Spring Games with a 9-4 win against Concordia-St. Paul and a 3-2 win against Ferris State on Tuesday in Melbourne, Florida. Rockhurst ended the Space Coast Spring Games with a 6-0 record and a six-game winning streak, the longest since 2021.Â
Game 1: Rockhurst 9, Concordia-St. Paul 4
Rockhurst scored one in the top of the first, two in the top of the third, four in the top of the fourth and two in the top of the seventh.
- McKenna Lester was 4-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
- RU's first three batters (Eva Fulk, Taylor Sedam, Emily Berry) combined for four hits, six runs scored and four stolen bases.
- Madeline McCall (5-1) threw her fifth complete game, striking out seven batters in seven innings. McCall has now recorded wins in her last three starts.
Game 2: Rockhurst 3, Ferris State 2Â
The Hawks scored one in the bottom of the third. Reeves' hit in the bottom of the sixth helped the Hawks rally for the win.
- Fulk led the Hawks with two hits.
- Berry, Lester and Jazmyne Moreno collected hits. Berry also collected a double.
- Sedam recorded an RBI.
- Avery Huffman (6-4) pitched her seventh complete game of the season, allowing two earned runs on four hits and striking out seven. Huffman has now won five of her last six starts.Â
