Women drop spring season opening match

The Rockhurst women's tennis team opened the spring season with a 4-0 loss to Augustana (S.D.) on Sunday at the Genesis Health Club in Lawrence, Kansas.

Augustana won the doubles point with wins in No. 1 and 3 doubles. The Vikings also won No. 2, 3 and 4 singles.

Ella Coleman was unable to finish her match at No. 1 singles with the match even at a set apiece. Coleman the first set, 7-5, and lost the second set, 6-4.

The Hawks (0-1) play Emporia State on Saturday afternoon in Lawrence, Kansas.
