Men rally for 4-3 win over Augustana

The Rockhurst men's tennis team opened the spring season with a 4-3 victory over Augustana (S.D.) on Sunday at the Genesis Health Club in Lawrence, Kansas.

Rockhurst won four of the six singles matches to rally from a 1-0 deficit after doubles play.

Killian Guillou at No. 1 and Alexi Khamrotau at No. 5 won in two sets in singles. Ollie Dickason (No. 3) and Creed Skinner (No. 4) both won by a 6-4 score in the third and deciding sets.

Dickason and Khamrotau were 6-2 winners in No. 2 doubles. Alex Tikhonov and Josef Truhlar fell in No. 1 doubles, 6-2. Guillou and Ben VanLaningham lost their No. doubles match, 6-3.

The Hawks (1-0) play Emporia State on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.
