Elise Magee and Kaylee Lary combined for 10 goals to lead the Rockhurst women to a season-opening 18-10 victory over Quincy Sunday in Quincy, Illinois.

The Hawks grabbed an early 5-1 lead in the first quarter and went into halftime with a 10-6 lead. Magee, Lary and Kyle Pickens combined for seven goals in the first half.

Rockhurst ended the game on a 5-0 run over the final 11 minutes to pull away from a 13-10 lead early in the fourth quarter.

• Magee led the Hawks with six goals, 12 shots and 10 shots on goal.
• Lary collected four goals, two assists, five shots and three ground balls.
• Pickens had a game-high 12 draw controls, four ground balls and two goals.
• Katie Morganthaler scored three free-position goals.
• Page Yehling posted two ground balls, two draw controls and one goal.
• Lary added one goal, one ground ball and one caused turnover.
• Courtney Miller and Kayla Stewart combined for 10 saves and two ground balls.
• The Hawks (1-0) play at Barton College on Feb. 19.
