Inside play leads Drury past Rockhurst

A strong inside game led Drury to an 85-53 victory over Rockhurst Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Panthers scored 34 points in the paint and outrebounded the Hawks, 60-32. Drury outscored Rockhurst 41-16 in the final 15 minutes.

Rockhurst went on a 9-0 run early in the second half to cut Drury's lead to 44-37 with 6:45 left in the third quarter. The Panthers scored the next 13 points to take a 57-37 lead.

Macie Conway led the Hawks with 14 points on six-of-12 shooting. Keeley Steele and Ella Campbell both scored 12 points while combining on five 3-point field goals.

Tori Miller collected eight points and four rebounds. Lauren Sandstrom tallied seven points and eight rebounds.
