Fourth-quarter run leads Bearcats past Hawks

Southwest Baptist pulled away in the final eight minutes to post an 84-73 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Bearcats outscored Rockhurst 23-10 in the fourth quarter while shooting 46.7 percent from the field (seven-of-15) and 75 percent from the foul line (nine-of-12).

Rockhurst won the third quarter, 27-23, to take a 63-61 lead into the fourth quarter. Lauren Sandstrom and Keeley Steele combined for 16 points in the third stanza.

Steele led the Hawks with a career-high 16 points. She also collected six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Ella Campbell scored 15 points on five three-point baskets. Sandstrom tallied 13 points and six rebounds.

Macie Conway finished with 11 points, six steals, four rebounds and two assists.
