Three Hawks earn national academic honors

Three members of the Rockhurst men's lacrosse team received national academic awards for their outstanding work in the classroom.

Brock Ollila was named to the 2025 Academic All-America® Division II Men's At-Large Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
 
The junior goalkeeper from St. Louis, Missouri native posted a 3.81 grade point average in Business. Ollila also earned USILA All-American and All-Region honors, in addition to being named the Goakeeper of the Year and first team all-conference by the GLVC.

Matthew Kallberg and Bjorn Anderson were named Scholar All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, which are awarded to the top academic senior players in the country.

Kallberg collected USILA All-American and All-GLVC First Team honors. He led the team with 30 caused turnovers. The Prior Lake, Minnesota defender majored in Marketing Analytics.

Anderson earned All-GLVC Second Team honors. He posted 36 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. The short-stick midfielder from Little Canada, Minnesota majored in Exercise Science.

Rockhurst also received the Division II Team All-Academic Award from the USILA for the fifth time in the last six years.

To be eligible for the Team Academic Award, squads must have a GPA of at least 3.00. The Hawks are one of 31 Division II schools to earn the award.
