Tsyrenov named RU's first ITA Men's All-American

Semyon Tsyrenov finished No. 16 in D2 singles

Semyon Tsyrenov has earned All-American honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). He is the first Rockhurst men's tennis player to receive ITA All-American honors.

The senior from Chita, Russia ended the season ranked as the No. 16 singles player while leading the Hawks to a No. 36 final ranking in Division II.

Tsyrenov finished with a 25-10 record in singles and a 19-11 record in doubles. He won the ITA Midwest Regional singles title last fall. The Hawks (15-7) advanced to the GLVC Tournament finals and to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Championship Tournament.
