Hawks fall to Indianapolis in GLVC finals

Rockhurst fell to 17th-ranked Indianapolis, 4-0, in the championship match in the GLVC Men's Tennis Tournament Sunday in Springfield, Illinois.

The 43rd-ranked Hawks (14-6) will await the announcement of the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis bracket, which will be announced Monday night at 7:30 Central time.
 
Indianapolis (19-3) won No. 2 and 3 doubles to take an early 1-0 lead. The No. 1 doubles match was unfinished with Rockhurst's Louis Keiner and Josef Truhlar leading 3-2.

Semyon Tsyrenov was winning his No. 1 singles match, 7-5 and 5-3, when Indy clinched the team title. Creed Skinner, Diego Schtulmann and Dylan Rainwater lost in two sets in No. 3, 5 and 6 singles.

Tsyrenov and Keiner were named to the All-Tournament Team.
