Women fall short in NCAA Round of 16

The Rockhurst women's tennis team fell short by a 4-2 score against third-seeded Midwestern State in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division II Championship at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

The Hawks finish the 2025 season with their highest finish in school history with an 18-6 record, which included their first GLVC Tournament championship.

Ella Coleman collected her most impressive win of the season with a 6-3, 6-0 win over sixth-ranked Jessica Binzari in No. 1 singles.

Zuzanna Szmyd cut Midwestern State's lead to 3-2 with a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 3 singles.

Midwestern State jumped out to a 1-0 lead after doubles play. The Mustangs posted a 6-1 win in No. 2 doubles and captured No. 3 doubles, 6-2.
