Men post wins over McKendree, Baker

The Rockhurst men's tennis team improved their record to 9-5 with weekend wins over McKendree and Baker.

The Hawks posted a 4-2 victory over McKendree on Saturday at the Overland Park Racquet Club. Semyon Tsyrenov, Josef Truhlar and Alex Tikhonov won in singles play.

Semyon Tsyrenov won his No. 1 singles match in two sets over Seb Holden, 7-6, 5-7 and 6-1. Truhlar was a three-set winner and Tikhonov won in two sets.

Tsyrenov also teamed up with Creed Skinner to win No. 2 doubles, 6-1. Louis Keiner and Tikhonov captured their No. 1 doubles match, 6-4.

On Sunday, the Hawks swept Baker, 7-0, at the Plaza Tennis Center. Tsyrenov, Keiner, Skinner, Dylan Rainwater, Iago Alcover and Arnav Gannavaram won their singles matches.
