Hawks clinch No. 8 seed in GLVC Tournament

The Rockhurst softball team dropped a pair of games to Missouri S&T on Sunday in Loyola Park to wrap up the regular season as the Hawks clinched the No. 8 seed in the 2025 GLVC Softball Tournament.

The eighth-seeded Hawks (18-24, 14-14 GLVC) will face top-seeded Drury (31-19, 22-6 GLVC) to begin the GLVC Tournament on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria, Illinois.

Game One: Missouri S&T 6, Rockhurst 1
The Miners scored once in the first, fourth and seventh innings and scored three in the third. Game Two: Missouri S&T 5, Rockhurst 4
The Hawks jumped out to a 4-1 lead after five innings, but the Miners rallied with four in the top of the seventh.
  • Eva Fulk went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
  • Lester had a team-leading two RBI. 
  • Kerstyn Finch, Claire Long and Pierce each recorded hits as Fulk, Claire Tipton and Moreno each recorded a stolen base.
  • Riley Braden allowed one hit in 6.1 innings pitched while striking out four.
