Women finish eighth at NSIC Preview

Grace Claney led the Hawks in 19th place

The Rockhurst women's golf team finished in eighth place at the NSIC Preview Tuesday at the par-72 Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 320 on the first day and a 342 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 662, two shots ahead of Winona State. Augustana (S.D.) won the team title with a 626 team score.

Grace Claney finished in 19th place with a 36-hole score of 161 to lead the Hawks. Claney shot an 82 in the second round after opening with a 79 in the first round on Monday.

Jayden Berrey tied for 25th place at 164. Caroline Giocondo finished one shot behind Berrey in a tie for 28th at 165. Celia Stiltner tied for 53rd at 172 and Sarah Biscan tied for 62nd at 176.
