Hawks win pair against McKendree

Rockhurst Softball won both games in their doubleheader against McKendree on Friday afternoon in Lebanon, Illinois. The Hawks won 10-2 in game one and 6-1 in game two.

Game One: Rockhurst 10, McKendree 2
The Hawks scored one in the top of the second, five in the top of the sixth and four in the top of the seventh. Game Two: Rockhurst 6, McKendree 1
Rockhurst scored two in the top of the first and four in the top of the seventh.
  • Claire Tipton and Jazmyne Moreno both collected two hits to lead the Hawks.
  • Berry and McKenna Lester combined for three RBI, as Finch and Bristow both stole a base.
  • Huffman pitched her fourth complete game in as many appearances, allowing a run on seven hits and struck out 11. 
The Hawks (15-21, 12-12 GLVC) travel to Warrensburg, Missouri to face Central Missouri in non-conference action on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
