Hawks fall short in Saturday doubleheader

Rockhurst Softball fell to Drury in a Saturday doubleheader, 2-1 and 4-0, in Springfield, Missouri. 

Game One: Drury 2, Rockhurst 1
The Panthers scored twice in the bottom of the first with a two-run single.
  • Mya Bristow reached on an error in the top of the second, scoring Emily Berry.
  • Eva Fulk collected four hits, including a triple. Claire Tipton recorded two hits, as Claire Long doubled and Berry recorded a single. Bristow added a stolen base.
  • Avery Huffman pitched all six innings and allowed two runs on five hits with 10 strikeouts.

Drury scored twice in the first, once in the fifth and once in the sixth. Up Next
The Hawks (13-19, 10-10 GLVC) travel to Bolivar, Missouri to face Southwest Baptist on Sunday at 12 and 2 p.m.
