Emporia State edges No. 38 Hawks, 4-3

The 38th-ranked Rockhurst women's tennis team fell to 50th-ranked Emporia State, 4-3, Saturday in Emporia, Kansas.

Ella Coleman won her No. 1 singles match, 6-3, 6-1. Coleman and Zuzanna Szmyd won their No. 1 doubles match, 6-3.

Sofia Valdespino won her No. 2 singles in three sets and Dani Lentisco captured No. 5 singles, 7-6, 6-4.

Rockhurst (4-4) will host Maryville on March 22.
