Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

RU Men post two wins over Thomas More

Rockhurst Men's Volleyball won two matches over Thomas More this weekend by 3-0 scores at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks won 25-15, 25-15 and 25-19 on Saturday, and 25-21, 25-16 and 25-15 on Sunday.

In Saturday's match, Lucas Tran led the Hawks with 16 kills. Shay Spadaro had a team-leading seven service aces and seven digs while recording eight kills. 

Aron DeRoy, Daniel Mekonen and Tyler Zippay led the Hawks with two blocks each. Zippay also led the Hawks with 34 assists.

The Hawks tallied 39 kills, 10 service aces, four blocks, 37 assists and 23 digs on Saturday. 

Sunday's win was the Hawks' fifth in a row, including the last four in three sets.

Zippay led Rockhurst with 33 assists. Spadaro posted 15 kills, two assists and two blocks. Mekonen and Zippay each had a team-leading two service aces.

DeRoy recorded six blocks and six digs, while Jackson Daughtery collected eight digs.

The Hawks had 40 kills, six service aces, 10 blocks, 37 assists and 28 digs.
