Hawks collect 5-2 win over Lewis

The Rockhurst women's tennis team defeated Lewis, 5-2, Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

The Hawks (7-5) picked up wins in No. 2 and 3 doubles over the Flyers. Dani Lentisco and Marina Magai won No. 2 doubles by a 6-4 score.

Ella Coleman won her No. 1 singles match in two sets. The 14th-ranked Coleman defeated Dookie Jordane, 7-6 (9-7) and 6-3.

Zuzanna Szmyd and Lentisco won by 6-1 and 6-0 scores in No. 3 and 5 singles.

On Wednesday, the Hawks fell to Southern Arkansas, 4-0. Coleman and Szmyd were 6-4 winners in No. 1 doubles.
